Notice of civil partnership appointment

Terms and conditions

By continuing and making a booking for a notice of civil partnership you are confirming that you:

A notice is a legal statement that must be given individually by each of you.

Milton Keynes registration service is unable to refund any pre-paid fees if you:

  • do not attend your appointment;
  • arrive late, not allowing sufficient time to conduct the appointment;
  • do not bring all the documentation required;
  • have not decided where you wish to hold your civil partnership;
  • do not meet the residence requirement

If we are unable to complete a notice of civil partnership appointment for any of the reasons listed, you will need to make a further appointment and pay the relevant fees again. 

Demand for appointments can be high so do plan ahead as a civil partnership cannot be confirmed until notice has been given and a schedule issued after the notice has been displayed publicly for 28 or 70 clear days. 

Notices are valid for 12 months so please ensure you do not make your appointment more than 12 months ahead of your formation date. 

If your civil partnership is within 6 weeks, please contact us on 01908 372101 or email at registrars@milton-keynes.gov.uk before booking your notice appointment.
